Over 16 years of continuous work, AES El Salvador has impacted the lives of more than 95,000 people in the country's rural communities through educational talks focused on electrical safety and energy efficiency. This initiative is carried out under the AES Rural Energy program, which seeks to promote good practices for the responsible management of electrical energy and contribute to the sustainable development of communities.
The training sessions include essential topics such as the prevention of electrical accidents at home, energy saving through the use of efficient technology, and the adoption of responsible habits that reduce energy consumption.

Yeimy Ramírez, one of the trained participants, stated that since she applied the energy-saving tips, she has noticed a significant reduction in her monthly energy consumption. "Before, I used a lot more energy, but now, by applying what I learned in the talks, I spend less and can use that money for other family needs," she said.
AES El Salvador highlighted that these actions are part of its commitment to the well-being and education of communities, especially those that face challenges in accessing technical information and modern resources.
"Our goal is for rural families to be able to use energy safely and efficiently, improving their quality of life and supporting local economic development," said Claudia Soriano, Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator at AES El Salvador.
The AES Rural Energy program also contributes to environmental protection by promoting the conscious use of electricity and the reduction of energy waste, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) related to affordable and clean energy.
With more than a decade and a half of positive impact, AES El Salvador reaffirms its commitment to continue bringing knowledge and tools to rural communities, promoting a safer, more sustainable, and more equitable energy future for the country.
