Contracting of new services

Requirements to request a new service 

  • Submit the form of technical description of the electrical installation (electrician's slip), which must be signed by a graduate electrical engineer or by an accredited electrician (submit copy of the ID of accreditation as electrician authorized by SIGET).

  • Submit the certificate issued by an Accredited Inspection Body (OIA) with conformity to electrical installations classified in the category of Small Demands at the level of new distribution networks of third-party properties or new developments. For the latter case, the electrical installations of the homes or premises built by the urban planner within the urbanization are included. It also applies to the category of Small Demands (non-residential), examples: shops, small businesses, cafes, chalets. Provisionals are excluded.

  • Attach a sketch of the geographical location, indicating reference points that permit a quick access to the site. 
  • Submit an original and legible copy in one sheet of the front side of the following documents:
    • DUI, resident card or passport (valid and enlarged to 150%). 
    • NIT (enlarged to 150%, legible).
    • Customer taxpayer registration, if fiscal credit is required ( enlarged to 150%, legible ).
  • Submit copy of property deed, duly registered at the CNR, confirming the ownership of the property and notarized authorization from each co-owner (if there are any).

  • Submit the completed form for the "Know Your Customer" interview. If you are a natural person, download the form here; if you are a legal person, download the form here. 
  • If you are not the owner of the property:
    • Contract or document proving the relationship between the property and the applicant.
    • Original and legible copy in one sheet of the front side of DUI and NIT (enlarged to 150%) of the property owner (current).
    • Written notarized authorization from the property owner.
    • Make a guarantee deposit for an amount that will be determined at the time of contracting. 
  • If the line to be built crosses through private land, submit the corresponding easement document or, instead, a notarized authorization letter from the owner of the property and copy of the DUI (enlarged to 150%).
  • If the service will connect to a private line, it must be built as per agreement 66-E “Standards for the construction of electrical energy aerial distribution lines” issued by SIGET. Besides, a notarized authorization letter and copy of the DUI, driver's license or passport (current) of the owner of such land must be submitted.

The payment for the connection of the service is determined according to the characteristics of the service. This cost will be notified when submitting the application. 

 
Requirements to change the name in your invoice 

  • This process must be personal. Submit copy of DUI and NIT (enlarged to 150%) or resident card (current).
  • Name change application, completed and signed. Download it here. 
  • Photocopy of deed of sale, duly registered at the CNR, proving the ownership of the land. 
  • In case of not being the owner of the property, submit a notarized authorization letter from the owner of the property to make the change, with its respective copy of DUI and NIT (current and enlarged to 150%).

  • Submit the last electricity bill, duly paid.
