As part of its commitment to modernizing its electrical infrastructure and promoting the country's sustainable development, AES CLESA, one of AES El Salvador's distribution companies, has completed 34 projects to optimize and expand power grids in the western part of the country during the first half of the year, with an investment exceeding US$395,000.

The initiative has positively impacted over 11,300 customers in the departments of Santa Ana, Sonsonate, and Ahuachapán, by improving the quality of electrical service and strengthening supply for rural communities, urban areas, and industrial sectors.

"These projects allow us to bring energy closer to more communities, but also to improve our response capacity to increasing demand in industrial and commercial areas. At AES CLESA, we are committed to the sustainable energy development of the western part of the country," stated Noel Valenzuela, AES CLESA construction supervisor.

Three Strategic Investment Pillars

Among the executed projects, three lines of action stand out:

  1. Normalization of Third-Party Lines (NTL): These interventions involve replacing electrical installations built by individuals with modern grids that comply with the technical regulations established by SIGET, thereby ensuring electrical safety and service quality for thousands of families.
  2. Social Benefit Projects: Focused on bringing electricity to hard-to-reach rural areas, these projects have been key to improving the quality of life in communities. In addition to lighting and safety, these works open new opportunities for economic and social development.
  3. Construction of New Electrical Circuits: AES CLESA has also invested in developing new, higher-capacity infrastructure, especially in areas with increasing industrial activity. This allows them to meet greater energy demand, offering stable and efficient service that drives economic growth in western El Salvador.

"With each new circuit or normalized line, we are building the energy future of the region. It's not just about infrastructure, but about progress and opportunities for the people," added Valenzuela.

Commitment to Territorial Development

The investment made by AES El Salvador through AES CLESA not only responds to technical criteria but also to a vision of territorial development that seeks to close gaps in access to basic services and support productive sectors that boost the national economy.

These actions align with AES El Salvador's mission to accelerate the future of energy, putting people at the center, while consolidating itself as a key partner in the country's economic development.
