AES is carrying out maintenance work on power lines in Sensuntepeque to strengthen the service during the winter.

Recently, with the goal of ensuring the continuity and quality of electric service during the winter season, AES El Salvador, through its distributor AES CAESS, carried out a large-scale preventative maintenance operation in the district of Sensuntepeque, the departmental capital of Cabañas.
More than 180 technicians participated in the work, which included the review, diagnosis, and correction of potential faults in the electrical network. This was part of a strategic plan aimed at providing an optimal and secure supply to more than 11,000 customers in the central-eastern region of the country.
The energy company reported that during the intervention, specialized work was carried out to minimize the risk of service interruptions caused by adverse weather conditions, such as those that typically occur during the rainy season.
"The maintenance of the network not only responds to technical needs, but is also part of a broader commitment to strengthen access to basic services and support the economic development of our communities," said Benjamín Vásquez, Community Management Coordinator for AES El Salvador.
Intervention Plan Continues in the Second Half of the Year
AES CAESS announced that during the second half of 2025, it will carry out 28 similar operations in urban and rural areas of the departments of San Salvador, Chalatenango, Cuscatlán, and Cabañas. The purpose is to strengthen the electrical infrastructure and prevent interruptions in the electric service.
