The inspection service ensures that different types of electric meters comply with the required technical standards before their installation or distribution. At AES Lab, we guarantee the quality of these devices through a sampling inspection process, developed in accordance with the MIL-STD-414 standard and aligned with the manufacturer’s technical specifications.
Our service is based on a structured plan that allows the detection of factory deviations, the reduction of operational risks, and the verification that meters meet established standards before implementation. The entire process is supported by a technical report that documents the inspection results, which is provided together with the service.
Equipment included in the service:
Residential Meters
Inspection of type 15(100) A and socket type (S) meters, applying sampling plans in accordance with the MIL-STD-414 standard. The batch accuracy is evaluated and results are compared against nameplate data or manufacturer specifications. The process concludes with a technical report supporting the quality of the evaluated batch.
Commercial and Industrial Meters
Verification of type 30(200) A and 2.5(20) A meters through individual testing. Compliance with established technical parameters is confirmed, potential deviations are detected, and the delivery of reliable equipment is guaranteed, supported by a technical report.
Bidirectional Meters
Inspection of type 2.5(20) A meters used in distributed generation systems. Accuracy is verified in both flow directions (consumption and generation), ensuring reliable readings for precise energy balancing. Includes a technical compliance report.
